Week #2 TGIF

After a long and challenging week at school, I breathed a sigh of relief as I returned home, dragging my tired feet and sore muscles back to my apartment. I looked up at the bright yellow sun, about to set in the mid-afternoon sky; a deep periwinkle brushed with white strokes. The trees, buildings, cars, and open road were in silhouette, almost as if the world was going to take a break with me. The sun continued to shine its euphoric light, making the sky seem vast and exuberant. The contrast between this spectacular sky and the quiet earth below seemed to say "goodbye week, hello sleep".
