This past weekend I attended a wedding in Santa Barbara area where we all stayed in cabins. It was a fancy camping weekend. The reception was outdoors around 5pm-ish when the sun was going down.
I took this photo because I enjoyed how the lights affected the mood. There were twinkle lights strung like a fan across the reception area. The fan formation lent the eye to a focal point which was the dance floor. Not only were the lights a trendy decoration, but they gave off a soft brightness to add in the environment. The lights produced a light brush stroke wash over the reception area enclosing the space. The enclosing of the light gave a feel of warmth and enjoyable energy. There was a sense of camaraderie and upbeat feeling which contrasted to the darkness around us.
Very nice work tying your ideas to the environment
ReplyDeleteI believe the foreground/background contrast also helped create the comfortable feeling as well
