The projector was used in two ways, it would either project images on the concrete wall in front of the DJ (first picture) or beam solid sheaths of light across the dance floor (second picture). The projector could change colours, pictures, and shapes; at times, these changes seemed tied to the music; at other times they seemed completely random.
Although the projector was the only lighting element, there was also a fog machine running the entire night. The fog made the air look thick and smokey and accentuated the beams from the projector by giving them something to 'cut' through.
Even though the laser projector was the only lighting element in the show, I was really impressed by the way it lit the space. In particular, the blues seemed to glow and fill the dance floor despite the crisp edges of the light.
Interesting event and seemed like they used their one fixture well
ReplyDeleteI am curious is your mood changes from when it was projecting an image and when it was just light in the room
Nice post
